Richa Jaiswal is registered Dietician (RD) and pursuing PhD from Surgical Disciplines, AIIMS, New Delhi. She has more than 15 years of working experience as Dietician in different health care setups including AIIMS, St. Stephen’s Hospital and VLCC. She is currently associated with Jai Prakash Narayan Apex Trauma Centre and AIIMS Bariatric Program.
She has written a chapter on “Cancer and Nutrition” & “Surgical Nutrition”. She has prepared a write-up on “ Challenges of nutritional management post-surgery: RYGB v/s Sleeve Gastrectomy v/s duodenal switch (BPDDS)” and “Traumatic Brain Injury and Nutritional Care”.
She has developed a few booklets and reading materials for patients’education and home nutrition care and outdoor patients. Details as mentioned below:
She has developed a low-cost indigenously prepared a drink for Enhanced Recovery After Surgery (ERAS) protocol of gastrointestinal surgery (GIS) department, AIIMS.
She has published few national and international papers on “Cancer and Nutrition”, “Surgical Nutrition”, “Abdominal Trauma”, “Bariatric Surgery”, and “ERAS”.
She is Co-Convener of Indian Dietetic Association (IDA), Delhi Chapter for 2019-2022. She also has been served as joint secretary for national president IDA during 2011-2014 January. She is one of the founder members of FORMS.
She was invited as a guest panellist on Doordarshan TV, LSTV, FM Radio and written articles on “Health and Nutrition” in various leading magazines.
